7 Local Businesses You Should Follow On Instagram
We ❤ Hernando County.
We also love Instagram. We combined the two and found 7 local businesses you should be following on Instagram if you love Hernando County, too.
1. Brian's Place | @brianshernandobeach
It's no surprise that we also ❤️ food! Brian's Place is an incredible restaurant in Hernando Beach that offers truly gourmet meals. The head chef, Brian Alvarez, has a flair for Italian and Latin fusion cuisine. He's also known for using the finest ingredients, including freshly caught seafood and locally grown produce. They often have live entertainment and special holiday menus or events. We definitely recommend giving this place a try!
2. Weeki Fresh Water Adventures | @weeki_adventures
We are exceptionally fortunate to live so close to such an amazing source of natural beauty. The spring-fed Weeki Wachee River is not only a stunning example of local habitat, but it's also a great place to swim, boat, kayak, or canoe. Weeki Fresh Water Adventures offers kayak and stand-up paddleboat rentals for those who want to take a trip down the river, as well as return shuttle service. If you're looking to fill your IG feed with photos of aqua adventures and tranquil nature scenes, this is definitely a page you'll want to follow!
3. Nina’s Cucina Mobile | @ninas.cucina
Is there anything better than a delicious, wood-fired pizza? How about a delicious, wood-fired pizza straight from the oven? We've been long-time fans of Nina's Cucina - back to when they had a brick-and-mortar location. Nowadays, you can find their mobile food truck at various local venues. They're the ones serving up delicious noms like the aforementioned pizza; but they also offer Italian catering, Philly cheesesteaks, handcrafted burgers, and gourmet tacos, too!
4. Westover's Flowers & Gifts | @westoversflowers
When it comes to all things flowery, owner and florist Tricia Bechtelheimer of Westover's Flowers & Gifts is a unique talent. Her shop's exqusite arrangements are highly sought after for weddings, special occasions, holidays, and more. Tricia's attention to detail, eye for color, and flair for design are reflected in each and every piece that she and her team create. If you can't find time to stop in and see the Westover's team in person, their Instagram is a beautifully curated portfolio of work!
5. Florida Cracker Kitchen | @florida_cracker_kitchen
Florida Cracker Kitchen is Brooksville's answer to "What's for breakfast?" This spot also caters to the lunch crowd, but they're best known for their breakfast dishes, including their monster-sized breakfast burritos, corned beef hash and chicken and waffles. Oh, and their shrimp and grits? To die for. Bring your appetite if you decide to give this eatery a go. Follow them on IG with caution - we can't be held responsible for the drool on your screen!
6. Legacy Custom Wood Designs | @legacycustomwooddesigns
If you have a deep appreciation for custom art like we do, you're going to love following this local woodworker. Joe's handcrafted wood designs range from signage to artwork, and even includes one-of-a-kind furniture pieces. He'll create something special and unique for his clients that you simply can't find in a big box store!
7. Rogue Sandwich Co. | @roguechef5150
Ok, this page is technically the personal page of Chef Mike, co-owner and head sandwich slinger at Rogue Sandwich Co. But, he's consistently posting the most amazing photos of the gourmet sandwiches that he creates. Chef Mike's creativity allows him to put a unique twist on the basics, like adding duck bacon to a club sandwich; but it also allows him to create amazing original sandwiches with flavors inspired by international cuisine, pop culture and more. Like his special, the Shogun Charlie, which featured sesame seared ahi tuna, arugula, togarash infused kewpie mayo, rice wine pickled cucumbers, and nori furikake on a ciabatta roll. Follow Chef Mike to check out the weekly specials, and don't be afraid to go rogue!
